During London Fashion Week, Elena Corchero receives the judge's special commendation for the inaugural British Council UK Young Fashion Entrepreneur Award together with the winner Simeon Hartwig from Bantum Clothing. The ceremony was presented by Hilary Alexander, fashion director of The Daily Telegraph, and Andrew Senior head of the British Council’s Creative Industries Unit.The six finalists had travelled to India in December 2008, visiting Delhi, Jaipur, Mumbai and Ahmedabad during their two week long tour of the Indian fashion industry.
